We want to mark the passing of a remarkable woman now. Florence Hitchen-Duffett was buried Saturday at Mount Pleasant
Cemetery. She was 87. Florence Lucinda Gushue was born in Brigus in 1919. She was one of 13 children. Both her father Leonard
and her grandfather Tom explored the Arctic with Captain Bob Bartlett. Florence opened and operated a number of stores in
St. John's. Olga Hitchen and Judy Cramm join Ted on the line now to talk about their mother.
